Zara’s passion for photography and videography began at the age of thirteen when she got her first camera. In high school this passion grew when she took photography as a subject and started to take self-portraits as a way of capturing her feelings. During this time she developed her atmospheric and ethereal style.
Her final portfolio led to getting a scholarship to university, where she studied Visual Communication Design at AUT (NZ) for 1 year before moving to Queensland to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast. However, she realised that this path was not for her and decided drop out to start freelancing as a Graphic Designer and Photographer.
In 2023, she started working as the Art Director for the RCD Foundation and designed the theme for Connor’s Run. This led to more opportunities, creating designs for brands such as Waterman’s Hair and Botanical Bay Australia.
A decade after picking up her first camera, Zara is chasing her childhood dreams of travelling the world and documenting her journey on social media as ZaraOnEarth. She hopes to inspire others to chase their dreams and to live a life of freedom.
